Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

Tthat ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,
and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Day 7How a Darkened Understanding Hinders One’s Kingdom Usefulness

Many of us, before we were saved, lived our lives according to the dictates of our own human will. However, some of us were domineered by parents, or institutions, that refused us the privilege of growing up to be our own persons. Others were held captive by circumstances that imposed a mind-set that deformed their inner man. Whatever the circumstance of our early upbringing, we are all driven by an inner man that needs to be made new for the Kingdom of God. Not one of us grew up perfect enough for God’s Kingdom.

The door for our renewal is opened to us when we become born again. This term, born again, comes to us from John 3:3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. The most literal interpretation of this from the Greek New Testament helps us understand what this “new birth” makes possible for us. The key is in the word translated again, from the Greek ańothen which means, “from above.” The realm from which our “new birth” comes is “above,” from the heavens, a realm of Life that this earth cannot provide.

We gain insight into a new way of living when we are born again. It’s a way of living that makes it possible for us to see and know the Kingdom of God. We can now discover a new Government. It’s a Government that sets us free from the rule of darkness and introduces us to the Light that Jesus brought into the world.

MY GRACIOUS REDEEMER, I love You. I praise You for the Government You are bringing into order within me. I praise You for the Light and Life that is eternal, and that is alive and shining in my heart right now. Oh, shine on through me to lighten the way for others!
